Advantages of Jelovica structural solutions


The optimum wooden structure Jelovica offers excellent thermal, acoustic, fire and earthquake protection. Wood provides optimum living comfort, as it regulates humidity in the room. It is soft to touch and gives us a feeling of comfort at low temperatures; in brick houses, such comfort can only be provided at higher temperatures. Jelovica houses attain energy efficiency with thinner walls than brick houses; with the same total floor area, you will thus gain about 10 percent of useful living area.

Composition of Jelovica structures


Cement particle board, which is the main component of exterior Jelovica walls is distinguished for its exceptional load bearing capacity, non-flammability, sound insulation, heat conservation properties and earthquake safety. It is permanently resistant to moisture and mould. All Jelovica walls are fitted with double cement particle board lining as well as with plasterboard lining, which controls humidity in living areas. The walls are also lined with PE foil, which is impervious to water, thus preventing moisture build-up inside the wall. The wooden framework is fitted with thermal insulation (rock/mineral wool, wood wool). In addition, Jelovica structures feature at least 10 cm of polystyrene foam or mineral wool.
